College Outreach

The College Outreach program mails "goodie boxes" to our college students several times a year. The mission is to remind our college students that we are thinking of them, praying for them, and missing them while they're away!
Community Kitchen
Coordinator: Nancy Fetterolf
The Community Kitchen is usually held at the Elkton Presbyterian Church. Our church joins other area churches in providing lunch on a rotating basis. See Upcoming Events (on the right) for the date of our next turn.
Compassion International
Coordinator: Terri Lokey
Compassion International is an organization that enables families or groups to adopt children in underprivileged areas of the world. Over 35 children have now been adopted by members or groups of our church!
Kentucky Mission Trip
Coordinator: Ted McDowell and Bob Gilmore
Each year, a team of youth and adults travels to Mozelle, Kentucky for a week of work on a variety of projects. Together with our friends at Lower Beech Fork United Methodist Church, we grow closer to God and one another while working to make life a little better for some of the less fortunate people of the area.
Rotating Winter Shelter

The rotating winter shelter is a collaboration of area churches whose mission is to provide food and shelter to the homeless during cold winter months.

Christmas in April
Coordinator: Ted McDowell
Each year Elkton UMC, along with several other area churches and organizations, provides a work team for various small home improvement projects in Cecil County. On the last Saturday in April, each team works to complete a project for a homeowner who otherwise would not have the means to get it done. |
